Welcome internet traveler. My name is actually Patrick McCarthy (he/him), but McDiaz honors the artists on that side of my family.
(and as it turns out, one cannot wait until 2008 to snag their name's URL)

For the last 17 years, I've collaborated with global brands, local businesses, independent artists, agencies, production companies and nonprofits. First and foremost I am a film & video editor for TVCs, trailers, shorts, and digital content in all of its many forms. Comedy. Drama. Intimate docs. Wild lifestyle vids. Jazz hand videos. Provocative fashion content. Mouth-watering food & beverage spots. Give me the footage and we will create the magic.

I write and post produce. I’m a [pr]editor slash storyteller slash music playlist fiend. I miss mixtapes. So whether it’s advertising or the arts, or the sweet spot where the two align, I know what it takes to see a project through from conception to completion. I understand the responsibilities required to get the job done under pressure and budget, and to nail that ship date, all the while maintaining creative focus from the hot-seat.

I want to entertain and inspire strangers. I want to make a positive difference with my work and the people I collaborate with.
